(This is my 200th post!! Yay, me!)
Wow! We felt the earthquake that was centered in Illinois. Our house shook similar to what I remember growing up next to the railroad tracks when the trains go by. It also reminds me of a couple times when I was living in Washington state. One of the times I was in NCW (North Central Washington) visiting someone in Cashmere and we thought a train was going by then but later found out it was an earthquake and a Mariners game was being played at the Kingdome at the time (Ken Griffey Jr. was still there) anyway they felt it at the Kingdome. Then in 1998-1999 when I was living in Seattle I was home by myself when the whole house shook and I thought it was our furnace about to blow because we were low on oil. I went out to check the oil level. My roommates never let me live that one down. They would be like "did you feel that, better check the oil".

In the last week or so we went to have lunch with Mark and there were geese in his parking area with one on the roof. The one on the roof would make all kinds of honking noises when people would come and go. John (my 3 year old) informs me he wants a goose for his birthday. What do you say to that? I just said that geese can be very mean so it's best not to have one. The other day he was watching a squirrel out the window and later he said "I want a squirrel for my birthday!" I go "how about a stuffed one?" Umm.. he didn't really have any thing to say about it but I am glad he didn't think I meant a real stuffed one. Actually, John may not be the one to get hurt by these animals if the way he treats the cats are any indication.
