Guess What I Did Today?!! :-)
You guessed it, went auctioning. I couldn't believe how expensive everything was going. They had about 5 or 6 (maybe more) of those scrapbooks with greeting cards similar to the ones I gave my sister-in-law but these were '30's and 40's. I just couldn't see myself paying over 100 dollars for those, although they were quite nice. They had a bunch of old, very nice, valentines cards that went high as well. I wish I had taken my camera to show you what I am talking about. They had old post cards, which I love to look at. I picked up a few old books and some old sheet music. Do we see a pattern here?

Good Morning Cheryl,
I hope you had a good time at the auction. I know things, especially that has alot of value to them goes for higher prices. I guess that's part of it tho. Used to when I would go to auctions, they didn't have things like they do now, but stuff would go really cheap. But if someone wanted something bad enough, the price would go higher. I finally put up a new post this morning. Hopefully things will get back to normal since my DH has left for work. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
That's really neat that you find these auctions and go out to them! It must be fun to look around at all the things, I can't imagine what kind of discipline it takes to not buy everything. I am watching the Auction Roadshow right now on PBS! Have a blessed week!

Just stopped by to say hello. Saw you on Michelle's video comments. I just happen to be studying 1 Peter and it's deep! I hope to someday read the entire Bible. Theresa
Hi Cheryl, Gosh those cards sound so great! But I agree very pricey! Loved your mousie story! Guess who has to be the catcher in my home? About once every 8 years one sneaks in, and Kitty looks at me like,"Do something!" Have a great Valentines Day! Lori
One of these days I hope to go to an aution as fine as the ones you attend. One day you will find a grand scapbook at the autions that you go to. Here we don't have autions, there was only that was really big but none since then. Have a great Valentines Day!:)
