We have a sick kitty :-(
Our tigger is staying at the vets tonight. Hopefully she will be better by tomorrow. We think she may have eaten something that is causing a blockage somewhere (she eats plastic and twist ties, not good). The vet is going to see if what he did today will get it to go on through so we don't have to do the surgery. The poor kitty was dehydrated from not keeping anything down and so weak, it broke my heart to see her that way. I looked to see if I had a picture I could share but I can't find it right now.

Happy Birthday to me....
Yes, that's right it's my birthday today. Yay, me!!
Birthday Thoughts
I have learned not to fret about getting older (turned 47 today). It's a part of life. My focus is on Heaven because I think this life is a test to see if we will choose to love God and will follow what God tells us in His Holy Word the Bible and in the end Heaven is the passing grade. Everyone has that choice to follow God or not. The Bible gives us everything that pertains to life and Godliness (2 peter 1:3). It says “everything” not most things or some things, “Everything”! You know how some will joke that they were not given a manual or guidebook when they had kids, well, that is what God has given us, in the Bible, for living this life and it even has wisdom on how to bring up children. Everything in it is ageless, what pertained to those who wrote the Bible pertains to us now in 2008 and will pertain those in 2208. I just finished a class on Bible authority and we went over how we can know what we are doing in worship and our daily lives is scriptural. Anyway, I hope I wasn't too confusing. I get all this stuff in my head I want to say and then have a hard time getting it on paper...err..the screen..

Did you miss me?
-Just kidding. I will not be posting as often as I have been. You probably figured that out, huh?
This post is pictures of a few things in my living room that we got at auctions.
The picture, the piano (for $20, nobody wanted to buy it and have to move it), and the lamp in the middle all came from auctions.
This is the cover of a 195? coloring book. My husband put it in a frame.
I love this picture!! Don't you?
These 2 are by the same artist.
Hope you liked seeing some of the treasures we picked up at auctions. 'Til next time...

Dog Tired (E-Mail going around the internet)
An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from
his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.
He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner.
An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks.
Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap."
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar:
"He lives in a home with ten children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"

We're Back in Ohio
So now we are back. And yes we were in the Smoky Mountains area. Our cabin is in Cosby, TN, about 30-45 minutes from Gatlinburg. We spent a lot of Saturday at our cabin. I was thinking I should have taken before and after pictures of my boys because they get filthy dirty when we spend time at our cabin. The only running water is the stream, that's why we make sure to plan for going to the hotel for baths before going for some dinner. We went to a couple of the outlet malls on Sunday. And then we arrived home last night about 8pm or so. Anyway, we love going down there and then I love coming home.
I have pictures and another movie later on.
Happy New Year to everybody!!!
