Prediction revisited

Back on November 29th I predicted we would get snow on January 23rd, well guess what? It was 2 days early. We got about 3 to 4 inches of snow today. We had church at 2:00pm today because the roads were pretty bad this morning. They are not predicting any snow on my birthday, actually we are suppose to have sunshine. We always seem to get snow around my birthday or rain or wind or all 3.

Memories

I just recently, in almost exactly a month (Dec. 3rd, Jan. 2nd) had my Aunt Diane and Uncle Bob pass away. I loved them both dearly and will be missing them so much. Their love for each other was very evident to me.

My Aunt Diane leaves me with memories of her positive attitude and love for everyone. She greeted everybody with a hug. When you left you would get another hug. She was one of those people you just loved being around.

Uncle Bob was a very kind person. My Dad loved doing stuff with Uncle Bob, like fishing, hunting and did I say fishing? I enjoyed having their family come to visit. It was one of the highlights of my childhood.

Being so far away when a family member dies makes it harder because I haven't had a chance to visit them in a few years and now they are gone. No more hugs as I walk through their door, no more hearing my Aunt say "goo-ood" the way only she could and no more having Uncle Bob fall asleep on the floor when he would come to visit or making us dinner like he would when my Dad was alive. They are gone and will forever be missed.

This picture (below)was possibly taken in 1956.
This is Uncle bob fishing. I think it was his favorite thing to do.

This picture was taken at their 50th wedding anniversary, April 15th, 2006. Anita Gail is next to my Uncle Bob and my cousin, Marty, is behind her and my cousin Bobby is behind my Aunt Diane (who is seated on the right).

These pictures were copied from the family website.
